We specialize in on-location, natural light photography and candid portraiture. Most of our shoots take place in the Collin and Northern Dallas County metro areas. We love shooting at the parks, in your home, and museums. We are open by appointment only. If you love your home, we can set up our studio there too! Locations outside of the Collin County metro areas may incur an additional charge.
Our custom portrait session sitting fee starting at $150, prints can be purchased separately. We know that what works for some clients won't work for others. So we offer session packages so that you know exactly what you are getting. The session packages are up front and flat rate (visit our investment page).
Custom albums and packages are also available to your specifications, as well as personalized, designed cards and postcards for holidays, graduations, birth announcements, save the date, invitations and more.
Schedule a session
To schedule your session, please email us by the contact form at the above listed "CONTACT US". We will be happy to find a time that works well for you.
We are usually booked at least 2-3 weeks in advance. A $100 down payment must be paid in order to secure your session. (This amount is applied towards the final down payment and is nonrefundable if the session is cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours prior to the event.) This guarantees your appointment time. If you need to reschedule due to illness or conflict just give a minimum of 24 hours notice and we are happy to do a one time reschedule and transfer this towards another session booked within 6 months.
We ask that the session fee is paid in full right after the sessions by cash/check or credit card via PayPal.
About the sessions
Our sessions usually last between 30 minutes and 2 hours depending on the session package you choose.
Regardless of the session package, plenty of time is allowed for changing, and getting to know each other.
The session may include both shooting inside your home and an outdoor location (anywhere in the Plano area -- other areas for reasonable fee) We also travel with studio lighting and a variety of backgrounds.
About 10-14 days after your session, We will provide you with a password to access a private online gallery for viewing and order all of your favorite images from your session. You are free to share this link with your friends and family. All images are held at our private online gallery for 30 days. After this time period, we are happy to archive any ordered images for you. We are not able to hold unordered images past this time.
All images are available in color, black & white and sepia. If your image that requires design work, we will contact you to discuss the details before we begin. You can make up to 3 minor changes to the design. After this there will be a $50 charge per hour of work. We take the greatest care in producing your portraits. Please allow 6-8 weeks for your order to be processed.
Each Session fee covers:
Photographer's time (3-5 hours of photo editing/retouching) talent and includes a pre-session telephone or online consultation.
A customized portrait session for up to 3 people with unlimited poses (Each additional person add $30 to the session fee).
Edited size 4x6 digital negatives (processed and light retouched) printable up to a size 5x7 of your choice on a photo CD ($10 for each additional file) with print release and size 4x6 gift prints (excluded basic and mini session).
Private online gallery with password to view the best of color images chosen at photographer’s discretion.
DVD slide show of our favorite images from your session (excluded basic and mini session).
* Due to the nature of custom photography, all sales are final.
* All orders must be paid in full when they are placed.
* All orders, session and creative fee is subject to an 8.25% Texas sales tax.
* All prices are subject to change without notice, but the session fee and print prices at the time of booking will be honored
If a digital file is purchased, you also receive printing rights, but city fashions creative images still retains ownership of images. All images, proofs, film negatives, and/or digital negatives remain the copyright of city fashions creative images, and are not for sale. Please also note that a print release does not release copyright ownership. Digital images may be printed for your personal use only, You may not edit or alter the files in ANY WAY. Doing so may result in fines up to $150,000.
What should you wear
Pick clothes that you are comfortable in and try on ALL the clothes before coming to a photo shoot. To have a bright light on when picking out clothes, please remember that you want contrast, but don't bring clothes with busy patterns on them. You can bring several items and we can help you choose what will work best. Please keep in mind, sometimes we are not able to get through all the outfits (three outfits is really ideal). Also, your nails should have a fresh coat, that chips will show in the pictures.
